The Geography of Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania is mostly made up of mountains rivers, valleys, and forests. The rivers are important for transportation of people and goods. A few roads supplement the southeastern area. Dense forests cover the higher lands in a beautiful green blanket.
We are part of the middle colonies. Rich and fertile farmland cover the valleys. The climate is considered to be an overall temperate temperature. The Allegheny Plateau and the Appalachian Ridge and Valley make up the scenery and environment that attracts many settlers. From the peaks of several of the mountains you can see for 25 miles or more, if the fog has not engulfed the mountain tops.
