Pennsylvania is ranked as a leading agricultural area and produces a surplus of exports, adding to our wealth. Wheat, corn, and rye are our main crops that we grow and export but they are not the only ones. We also grow flax and hemp which advance our textile industry.
The abundance of forests produce large quantities of lumber and the nearby coast is a perfect combination for our amazing ship building industry. The harbor also allows the colony to export paper and iron.
By 1750, exceptionally prosperous farming areas had developed in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The abundant natural resources of the colony allow us to develop industries and we welcome any new ideas for economic growth.
